President of the NZ Syrian Community

Mohamed Kado Turkmani

Mohamed immigrated to New Zealand 35 years ago, to the land of opportunities.

Mohamed was born in Damascus, Syria. A land with rich heritage in knowledge, culture, and wealth.

A year after arriving to New Zealand, Mohamed was employed by the NZ Meat Board and NZ Dairy Board, in an Executive Management role. The role involved Mohamed working with high official delegations from overseas that came to do business in New Zealand on a day-to-day basis. In 1996, Mohamed started venturing into the commercial property business, and since then, his property portfolio grew to include both commercial and residential projects.

Kado is a proudly self-made professional and is regarded as one of New Zealand's highly successful property developers. Mohamed is extremely proud of his heritage being Syrian and always represents his homeland in a very positive and productive way.
